La Sclusa, Sauvignon
Made in Italy Wine: Sauvignon
DOC Friuli Colli Orientali – Dry white wine
Sauvignon is another grape variety arrived in Friuli Venezia Giulia in the second half of the nineteenth century from France, where it is still cultivated, especially in the Bordeaux area. Sauvignon is a French plant that means “wild plant”, maybe for its distinctive aromas. The climatic characteristics of the hilly area of Friuli seem to be particularly suitable for this grape variety, since our Sauvignon wines have become pretty popular also abroad.
