Corte San Biagio
The Corte San Biagio farmhouse accommodation takes its name from the hill where it is located, called Monte San Biagio. It was obtained through the recovery of an old peasant farmhouse, maintaining and enhancing the rustic aspects of the past by integrating harmoniously into the context of the surrounding area.
We are in the heart of the Colli Orientali del Friuli, an ideal area for relaxing holidays in a family atmosphere. Corte San Biagio is immersed in an evocative landscape, surrounded by vineyards of highly prized grapes, olive trees, woods and natural parks.
Corte San Biagio is located in a strategic position just a few minutes from Udine and Cividale del Friuli, cities rich in art and history and in the center between the Grado lagoon and the Julian Prealps.
It is located in a quiet environment, with the possibility of hiking or cycling. And in the evening for fun, as well as restaurants, wine bars, festivals, there is neighboring Slovenia with its casinos.
On the Spessa Hills, south of Cividale, the Latin and Longobard pearl, in the heart of Friuli, we find the La Sclusa farm.
Its vineyards have their roots in the marly soils typical of these areas, the Colli Orientali del Friuli, which has always been synonymous with excellent wines by natural vocation.
Here, the Zorzettig della Sclusa (curious nickname that originates from a place located downstream of the company), devote themselves with passion to the culture of the wine, combining family tradition, experience and modern winemaking techniques, to derive from excellent grapes wines precious, unmistakable for flavors and richness of aromas.
In 1971 Gino Zorzettig took over the company, which had until then been run by his father “TITA”. With the collaboration of his sons Germano, Maurizio and Luciano, the company began to convert in the 1980s with the construction of the new cellar and the installation of new vineyards, especially autochthonous white ones to best enhance the vocation of this area.
